A new exhibition presents some forty works by Picasso inspired by Prehistoric art.

As part of the Picasso Celebration 1973-2023, the Musée de l'Homme  presents a new exhibition on the relationship between Picasso and Prehistory. Through a selection of some forty works, most of which were produced in the inter-war period, it highlights the artist's fascination with the art of this period and the creative inspiration he drew from it. This infatuation is revealed in paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings, some of which have never been shown before. Visitors can also listen to the account of photographer Brassaï, a friend of Picasso's, and discover a collection of animal skulls and bones that Picasso kept in his studio.Showing from 8 February to 12 June 2023.
