Paul Klee, painting music

A digital and poetic immersion in the work of the painter Paul Klee with a short programme.

Running alongside Chagall, Paris – New York, the Atelier des Lumières in Paris offers a short programme of around twelve minutes titled Paul Klee, painting music, from 17 February 2023 to 7 January 2024. In this immersive digital exhibition, visitors will wander through the works of this notable painter of the first half of the 20th century, projected onto the walls of the exhibition space and accompanied by excerpts from Mozart's The Magic Flute, which the artist, who was passionate about music, particularly loved. The son of a musician and a singer, Paul Klee was himself a violinist and placed music at the heart of his abstract paintings.
