An electro-opera by Damon Albarn, imagined as a sequel to Mozart's ‘The Magic Flute’
From 27 to 30 March 2025, the Théâtre du Lido will be presenting ‘The magic flute II: The curse’, a brand new electro-opera composed by Damon Albarn, British singer of the bands Blur and Gorillaz. Conceived as a sequel to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 1791 masterpiece The Magic Flute, the show is based on a libretto by Jeremy Sams, based on a scenario written by the German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Eight lyric soloists, five musicians and a chorus of twelve singers perform this original musical creation.
