The Opéra Comique in Paris presents Picture a Day Like This, an opera composed by George Benjamin to texts written by Martin Crimp. Premiered in 2023 at the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, this lyrical and poignant work tells the story of a woman's quest to revive her deceased infant. The work is performed under the musical direction of George Benjamin in a production by Marie-Christine Soma and Daniel Jeanneteau, with Marianne Crebassa, Anna Prohaska, Beate Mordal, Cameron Shahbazi, John Brancy and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. To be seen from 25 to 31 October 2024.
