A colourful comic opera by the German composer to be discovered at the Palais Garnier!
With ‘The Brigands’, the Palais Garnier offers a festive, burlesque show full of twists and turns. Created in 1869 at the Théâtre des Variétés, with a libretto by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy, this opera buffa by Jacques Offenbach plunges into the heart of the adventures of the band of brigands led by Falsacappa, whose plan is to steal a treasure. Barrie Kosky's production, with its many disguises and cross-dressing, is colourful, full of humour, thrilling twists and zany choreography. On until 12 July 2025.
