From March 21, 2025 to September 17, 2025

Vibrant landscapes, unique impressionist light

The Musée de Montmartre honours Maximilien Luce, a major figure of neo-impressionism, through the exhibition ‘L'instinct du paysage’ (The Instinct of Landscape). Known for his luminous palette and pointillist technique, Luce's work captures the spontaneous beauty of urban and rural landscapes. From the Seine valley to the picturesque views of Montmartre, the exhibition unveils an exceptional selection of paintings, bearing witness to the painter's sensitivity to nature and the transformation of landscapes at the turn of the 20th century. An invitation to rediscover a committed artist, between light, colour and emotion.
