The famous play by the English playwright plays at the Comédie-Française!

Until 11 May 2025, the Salle Richelieu at the Comédie-Française will be hosting ‘Macbeth’, the famous play by William Shakespeare, who, through the characters in this short tragedy, tackles the dark and obscure themes of ambition, guilt and madness. Obsessed with his quest for the throne, General Macbeth goes so far as to eliminate the generous King Duncan and his friend Banquo in order to realise his dream, aided by his wife Lady Macbeth. Directed by Sylvia Costa, the play reveals the darkest impulses of these souls on the brink of the abyss. Recommended for young people aged 15 and over. Possibility of translating the show into English using connected glasses (must be booked in advance).
