Affiche Zombis. La mort n'est pas une fin ? l Exposition 2024 Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac

Immerse yourself in the world of zombies with this unique exhibition at the Musée du Quai Branly.

The musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac is presenting a brand new exhibition entitled Zombis. Death is not the end? The exhibition explores the myth of the zombie, from its African origins to the voodoo rites of Haiti and the figure of the living dead as it appears in fantasy literature and film. While in Africa the term zombi is used to describe a spirit or ghost, in Haiti the zombi is a cursed character linked to the voodoo religion. Along the way, visitors can discover a reconstruction of the peristyle of a voodoo temple, a collection of fetishes and dolls from Haitian shrines, and a reconstruction of a Haitian cemetery. On view from 8 October 2024 to 16 February 2025.
Closed on Mondays. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 10.30am-7pm. Thursday: 10.30am-10pm
