The "Zidane, a portrait of the 21st century" installation plunges us into the heart of a multi-dimensional and poetic football match.

In their film "Zidane, a portrait of the 21st century", artists Douglas Gordon and Philippe Parreno illustrate the making of heroes and our culture's fascination with them. Filmed in real time during a 2005 match between Real Madrid and Villarreal, the duo used 17 cameras to follow Zidane. The Philharmonie de Paris is offering an installation based on the film, with 17 giant screens and special sounds to give visitors a gripping visual and audio experience, plunging them into the heart of a unique match.
