An exhibition at the Centre Pompidou celebrates 100 years since the birth of Surrealism.
The Centre Pompidou in Paris is celebrating 100 years since the birth of the Surrealist movement with a major exhibition retracing 40 years of artistic creation. The exhibition takes the form of a spiral, beginning with the presentation of the Manifesto of Surrealism, published in 1924 by André Breton and marking the birth of this artistic movement. The exhibition tells the story of Surrealism, presenting its major works, its favourite themes and the literary authors who inspired it. On view from 4 September 2024 to 13 January 2025.
