Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain, 261 boulevard Raspail - 75014 Paris
From June 8, 2023 to November 5, 2023
Made famous in France in 2005 by the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain in Paris, Ron Mueck is back at this institution. Until 5 November 2023, the hyper-realist Australian artist, known for his large-scale sculptures reproducing the human body, is presenting a selection of emblematic and previously unseen works. Among the sculptures to be discovered: the monumental installation Mass (2017), made up of around a hundred human skulls of impressive sizes, arranged in piles, and the sculpture Dead Weight (2021), representing a giant cast-iron skull weighing almost 2 tonnes, question our relationship with the body, life and death.
From 11am to 8pm. From 11am to 10pm Tuesday. Closed on Monday.
