Discover the first exhibition devoted to the works of the painter Jusepe de Ribera, who follows in the footsteps of Caravaggio
With the exhibition ‘Ribera. Darkness and Light’ from 5 November 2024 to 23 February 2025, the Petit Palais invites visitors to discover the pictorial and graphic works of Jusepe de Ribera, a descendant of Caravaggio. This 17th-century Spanish artist, who lived in Italy and was known for revolutionising painting with his chiaroscuro technique, practised an art marked by extreme realism, strong contrasts and an unprecedented dramatic dimension.
From 10am to 6pm. From 10am to 8pm on Friday and Saturday. Closed on Monday.
