The Musée des Arts Décoratifs celebrates the teddy bear, a cult object for young and old alike.
From 4 December to 22 June 2025, the Musée des Arts décoratifs is dedicating an exhibition to one of the iconic toys of childhood: the teddy bear! An immersive scenography, featuring 130 bears from the museum's collections, works of art and interactive installations, will reveal to visitors the history of this tender cuddly toy so loved by young and old alike, and its evolution through the ages, from prehistoric times to the present day. The exhibition also highlights the various representations of this emblematic figure, which has inspired many fashion designers and major couture houses (Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Christian Dior, Hermès, Louis Vuitton...), contemporary artists such as Annette Messager, Benoît Pièron, Carole Benzaken... and the world of literature, cinema and advertising.
From 11am to 6pm. From 11am to 9pm on Thursday and 11am to 8pm on Sunday. From 11am to 5pm on 24 and 31 December. Closed on Mondays, 25 December, 1 January and 1 May.
