Unique encounter between Impressionism and contemporary creation
The Musée Marmottan Monet is staging a unique exhibition highlighting the artistic dialogue between two major female figures: Berthe Morisot, a pioneer of Impressionism, and Nina Childress Pétrovitch, a contemporary artist. From 7 March to 22 September 2025, this face-to-face exploration of how Morisot's legacy inspires current creativity through the interplay of colours, materials and perspectives on femininity.
Morisot's impressionist works, imbued with sensitivity and light, find a vibrant echo in Pétrovitch's bold, pop creations. An immersive exhibition where past and present intertwine to offer a reflection on the representation of women in art, between tradition and modernity.
