Clemenceau and sport - Cultural Olympiad

Musée Clemenceau, 8 rue Benjamin Franklin - 75116 Paris
From April 16, 2024 to August 14, 2024

This unique exhibition highlights Clemenceau's love of sport and its many disciplines

Sport was one of Clemenceau's favourite pastimes. He was convinced that physical exercise went hand in hand with intellectual fulfilment, and practised it right up to his last days. The exhibition retraces the Tiger's many sporting activities, including horse riding, fencing, hunting and cycling, as well as his involvement in the 1924 Olympic Games during his political career. It also looks at his sporting philosophy and his own practice at home, based on the principles of the hygienist movement (health, the outdoors, spa treatments, personal coaching, etc.).
