Spotlight on the illustrated posters that took to the streets of Paris at the turn of the 20th century
The Musée d'Orsay is turning the spotlight on the illustrated posters that took to the streets of Paris in the second half of the 19th century with the ‘Art in the Street’ exhibition. The tour plunges visitors into the visual world of Paris at the time, recounting the golden age of posters and exploring the social and cultural changes that led to their rise. Nearly 300 works, including posters by Pierre Bonnard, Alphonse Mucha, Toulouse-Lautrec and Théophile-Alexandre Steinlein, as well as costumes, objets d'art and photographs, are on display. On view from 18 March to 6 July 2025.
