Discover the unique exhibition dedicated to Rammellzee, the famous American artist who was a graffiti artist, painter, sculptor, musician and rapper
From 12 June to 7 September 2025, the Palais de Tokyo is presenting a unique exhibition dedicated to Rammellzee, the iconic American artist who contributed to the emergence of graffiti alongside Basquiat in New York in the 1980s. Graffiti artist, painter, sculptor, musician and rapper, Rammellzee created an original style he called ‘gothic futurist’. His complex works, composed of recycled objects and materials, depict masks, costumes, paintings and sculptures inspired by African culture and science fiction. The exhibition highlights the materials the artist was particularly fond of: writing, painting, spray paint, resin, black light and fabric.
