At the Palais Galliera, discover a unique exhibition devoted to the exceptional collection of haute couture assembled by fashion designer Azzedine Alaïa. Passionate about haute couture, the famous couturier built up a collection of more than 20,000 pieces reflecting the art of haute couture, from its beginnings to the present day. Some of the biggest names in fashion are represented in this collection, from Jeanne Lanvin to Christian Dior via Elsa Schiaparelli, Gabrielle Chanel, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Alexander McQueen. The exhibition unveils 140 haute couture items from this remarkable collection. To round off their tour, visitors are invited to go to the Salle Matisse in the Musée d'Art Moderne, opposite the Palais Galliera, to admire three stage costumes designed by the artist for the Ballets Russes in 1919. Exhibition runs from 27 September 2023 to 21 January 2024.
