The Palais Galliera in Paris is showing 1997 Fashion Big Bang, from 7 March to 16 July 2023. This exhibition focusses on the year 1997, a key period and an exciting time in the world of fashion, with the emergence of iconic collections and new haute couture designers like Jean-Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Hedi Slimane, and Stella McCartney.
Presented chronologically, the exhibition features over 50 silhouettes from the collections of the Palais Galliera, museums, collectors, and fashion houses. Archives and videos complete this overview of a defining and inspiring year for 21st century fashion.
From 10am to 6pm. From 10am to 9pm Thursday. Closed on Mondays and May 1st.
