Discover the exhibition devoted to Gustave Caillebotte at the Musée d'Orsay from this autumn!

The exhibition ‘Gustave Caillebotte. Peindre les hommes’, presented at the Musée d'Orsay, invites visitors to rediscover the masterpieces of this 19th-century painter through the theme of human figures and portraits. Visitors will discover a selection of 70 works, mainly paintings, but also drawings, pastels and photographs. Two recently acquired paintings, ‘Young Man at his Window’ by the J. Paul Getty Museum and ‘Part of a Boat’ by the Musée d'Orsay, as well as the masterpiece ‘Rue de Paris, Temps de pluie’ on loan from the Art Institute of Chicago, are also on show. The exhibition celebrates the 130th anniversary of Caillebotte's death, as well as the artist's bequest of his own collection of Impressionist paintings to the French state. To complement the exhibition, visitors can admire this collection in a dedicated room at the museum. An event not to be missed, from 8 October 2024 to 19 January 2025.
Open Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30am to 6pm, with late-night opening on Thursdays until 9.45pm.
From €12 to €16. Free for under-18s and under-26s resident in the USA.
