PARK-GARDEN-PROMENADE

Parc Monceau

35 boulevard de Courcelles - 75008 Paris Porte Maillot - Monceau
Parc Monceau was built in the 17th century, at the instigation of the Duc de Chartres. Located between the 8th and 17th arrondissements, it is now one of the most elegant gardens in Paris, reflecting the character of the district. Visitors enter through large wrought-iron gates embellished with gold. The walk is full of surprises: numerous marble statues of famous writers and musicians, the Renaissance arcade of the former Paris Town Hall, spectacular trees, a wide variety of birds and a large pond. Children's play areas are available. Parc Monceau is surrounded by luxury buildings and sumptuous private mansions, including the Musée Cernuschi, dedicated to Asian art.
