The three Parisian RATP tramway lines were designed from the outset to be accessible.
Platforms at all stations are easily accessible to wheelchair users. All T1, T2 and T3 trams have level floors and are level with the platform.
All tramway stations are equipped with information terminals indicating waiting time in real time and the destination of the next two trams. For future lines, a study is underway to provide a sound system with this information for visually-impaired people.
For visually-impaired people, all visual information is coupled with a sound system: the next stop and the closure of doors are announced.
For hearing-impaired people, all the sound information is coupled with visual information: visual announcement panels and flashing signal on closure of doors. For the T3, every carriage is also equipped with a luminous display which indicates the next station that the tram will stop at by a flashing light.
